What should have been a routine traffic stop turned into a terrifying high-speed chase involving a teenage couple — and shockingly, their baby riding in the backseat. The incident, captured on police dashcam and bodycam footage, has left both officers and the public stunned.
According to the official report, the chase began late in the evening when officers noticed a black sedan driving recklessly, weaving in and out of traffic at high speed. When police attempted to pull the vehicle over, the driver — later identified as a 17-year-old male — hit the gas instead. What followed was a dangerous pursuit that stretched for miles through residential neighborhoods.
At first, officers believed it was a standard case of a teen trying to avoid a ticket. But when dispatch confirmed the vehicle was registered to a young woman with a history of juvenile incidents, the situation became more alarming. Inside the car was the driver’s girlfriend — and their one-year-old baby strapped in the backseat.
As the chase continued, the teens reportedly hit speeds exceeding 90 miles per hour, running multiple red lights and nearly colliding with oncoming traffic. Officers coordinated roadblocks, but the driver managed to evade them, pushing the vehicle to its limits.
