Travelers at Orlando International Airport (MCO) witnessed a shocking scene on Thursday, August 14, when a woman erupted in a wild outburst after being unable to board a Southwest Airlines flight.

Footage recorded by eyewitness Peyton Turbeville shows the furious passenger kicking a staff member at the gate, then slamming her phone against two computer screens, shattering them in front of stunned onlookers.

The woman can also be heard screaming about her missed flight, demanding that fellow travelers “call the police” as chaos unfolded in the terminal.

According to Turbeville, the woman had already missed placement on the standby list for three separate flights. When the gate closed, she allegedly tried to push her way through, prompting staff to intervene—sparking the violent meltdown.

Passengers in the terminal described the moment as “unreal” and “frightening,” with families quickly moving their children away from the scene.

Southwest Airlines has not released a statement, but police were reportedly called to the gate to handle the situation.

This incident is just the latest in a string of air rage cases that have made headlines across the U.S., raising concerns about passenger behavior and airline safety.
