Police were left stunned after pulling over a woman who was more than three times over the legal alcohol limit—only to discover her 7-week-old baby strapped in the back seat.
Officers say the vehicle was swerving dangerously, putting both the infant and other drivers at extreme risk. When they approached the car, they noticed slurred speech, the smell of alcohol, and an open container within reach.
The young baby, who was completely defenseless, was immediately removed from the vehicle for safety. Authorities have since charged the mother with multiple offenses, including DUI with a child in the car—one of the most serious charges a driver can face.
Social media has exploded with anger, with people calling the situation “beyond reckless” and “unforgivable.” Others are demanding harsher penalties for parents who put their children in danger this way.
