What was supposed to be a fun weekend getaway turned into pure chaos after an Airbnb rental party in Florida got wildly out of hand — leading to police intervention, property damage, and multiple citations.

According to reports, a group of young adults rented a luxury home in a quiet suburban neighborhood through a short-term rental platform, allegedly claiming it was for a “family reunion.” Instead, neighbors were soon calling 911 after midnight as loud music, shouting, and cars packed along the street disrupted the entire block.

Bodycam footage from responding officers shows what looks like a full-scale event — with dozens of partygoers scattering as police arrive. Flashing lights from patrol cars illuminate the driveway as officers yell for people to stop running. “Everybody stay where you are!” one officer can be heard shouting.

Inside the home, officers reportedly found broken furniture, alcohol containers, and signs of underage drinking. One officer’s report stated that the kitchen counters were covered in bottles and that the backyard pool area had been trashed.

The homeowner, who was out of state at the time, said he rented the property for what was supposed to be a small family gathering. “When I got the call from police, I was in shock,” he said. “They completely disrespected my home — it looked like a nightclub.”

Witnesses said that at least 40 people were at the house, some arriving in rideshare vehicles, others in luxury cars. “It was loud enough to shake windows,” one neighbor said. “We could hear the bass from two streets away.”

When officers attempted to make contact, the renters reportedly tried to claim it was a “birthday celebration” that had gotten “a little too big.” However, police quickly determined that alcohol was being served to minors and that multiple guests had fled the scene to avoid questioning.

The renters are now facing charges related to property damage, noise violations, and hosting an unlicensed event. Police confirmed that no serious injuries occurred, though one attendee was treated for minor cuts after tripping near the pool.

The short-term rental platform has since suspended the listing pending investigation and stated that it has a strict policy against unauthorized parties. “We take these incidents very seriously,” a spokesperson said. “Hosts and guests who break these rules can face permanent removal from the platform.”

The video, shared online, has already gained millions of views — with users debating who’s to blame. Some say the renters acted irresponsibly, while others argue the host should have had more safeguards in place.

“It’s all fun until the cops show up,” one commenter joked. Another wrote, “This is why people don’t want Airbnbs in their neighborhoods.”

The incident serves as yet another reminder that throwing a party in a rental home might seem harmless — until the consequences hit. In this case, what began as one wild night could now lead to hefty fines and a lifetime ban from booking.
