In a courtroom drama that’s drawing attention nationwide, an alleged suspect has filed a civil lawsuit against a police officer, claiming racial discrimination and abuse of power during a controversial arrest. According to court documents, the man — who was initially detained under suspicion of a minor offense — alleges that the officer targeted him because of his race.
