A shocking case out of Ohio has sparked outrage and heartbreak after police found a young child left alone in a freezing car for more than an hour while the child’s mother attended a job interview inside a nearby office building.
Authorities say the incident occurred on March 27, 2025, when temperatures outside were below freezing, and the car’s engine was turned off. The child, who is believed to be around 3 years old, was discovered crying and visibly shivering by a passerby who quickly called 911.
Police bodycam footage shows officers arriving at the scene and rushing to open the vehicle. The child was wearing a thin jacket and clutching a small blanket, but the car’s interior temperature had dropped dangerously low.
