A shocking police report revealed that a schoolteacher was caught driving under the influence for an astonishing seven hours β with a blood alcohol level nearly three times the legal limit.
According to authorities, officers received multiple 911 calls about a car swerving dangerously along the highway late at night. Dashcam footage later confirmed the vehicle had crossed lanes repeatedly, narrowly avoiding several collisions.
When officers finally managed to pull the driver over, they found a middle-aged teacher behind the wheel, visibly disoriented and struggling to remain upright. Her speech was slurred, and she reportedly told officers she was βjust trying to get home.β
After a field sobriety test, which she failed on the spot, the driver was arrested and taken into custody. A subsequent breathalyzer test showed her blood alcohol concentration (BAC) was 0.22, almost triple the stateβs legal limit of 0.08.
Investigators believe she had been drinking continuously throughout her drive β spanning over seven hours and nearly 200 miles. Miraculously, no one was hurt.
The school district where she worked has since placed her on administrative leave pending the outcome of the case. βThis was an incredibly dangerous situation,β the sheriffβs office said. βItβs pure luck that no lives were lost that night.β
Social media users were stunned by the story, with many questioning how she stayed on the road for so long without causing an accident. One commenter wrote, βSeven hours? Thatβs not just bad judgment β thatβs a miracle sheβs alive.β
The teacher now faces multiple charges, including DUI, reckless endangerment, and potential license revocation.
What was meant to be a quiet night turned into a terrifying example of how one bad decision can end careers β and almost cost lives.
