In one case, a woman walked straight into the hands of police after allegedly attempting a petty theft in broad daylight — right outside a store with cameras everywhere. Instead of slipping away quietly, she reportedly stuck around long enough for officers to catch her red-handed.
Another “criminal mastermind” tried to hide stolen items in the most obvious place possible — their own shopping bag — while still standing in the store parking lot. Witnesses say it looked less like a getaway and more like a clumsy rehearsal for a bad reality show.
Officers, both amused and baffled, wasted no time making the arrests. Bodycam footage captures the awkward exchanges as suspects offered excuses that only made things worse. “We’ve seen a lot,” one officer said, “but these are definitely among the dumbest.”
