The incident occurred on June 4, when Atlanta temperatures reached 87°F. According to police, the “real feel” inside a closed vehicle that day soared to a staggering 117°F, creating life-threatening conditions within minutes.
Footage captures the tense moment as officers rushed to the vehicle, shouting instructions before shattering the glass to pull the children to safety. Both were sweating heavily and visibly distressed from the heat. They were quickly given medical attention and are expected to recover fully.
