Police bodycam footage has revealed the devastating moment an elderly woman was tricked into handing over $40,000 in a sophisticated Bitcoin scam.
In the video, officers arrive at her home after a concerned family member reported suspicious financial activity. The woman, visibly shaken, explained that she believed she was helping “secure her accounts” after receiving what she thought was an urgent call from her bank.
Instead, the scammers guided her through a series of transactions that drained her life savings into a cryptocurrency wallet they controlled.
