According to police reports, a young woman had been stalked for weeks by her obsessed ex-boyfriend, who refused to accept that the relationship was over. Despite multiple warnings and even a protective order, he kept showing up, calling nonstop, and lurking near the family’s home.
But on the night it all came to a head, he crossed the line.
The ex allegedly broke into the family’s home, armed and unhinged, demanding to see the daughter. Her father, already on high alert, confronted him in the hallway — and when the man refused to leave and made a threatening move, the dad opened fire.
He shot the intruder in defense of his daughter and the rest of the household. By the time police arrived, the ex-boyfriend was already dead.
Authorities later confirmed that the shooting was being treated as a justified act of self-defense. No charges have been filed against the father, who was described by neighbors as “quiet, protective, and always looking out for his family.”
The daughter, visibly shaken, reportedly told officers:
“He saved my life. I don’t know what would’ve happened if my dad hadn’t been there.”
