In a disturbing case of alleged animal hoarding, a 75-year-old woman has been arrested after authorities discovered 175 dogs crammed inside her home. Police were called to the property following complaints from neighbors about strong odors and nonstop barking.
What they found inside was heartbreaking: dozens of malnourished dogs packed into cages, roaming freely through cluttered, unsanitary rooms filled with feces, urine, and filth. Some of the animals were sick, injured, or severely underweight.
Animal control officers worked for hours to safely remove the dogs from the home. Many of them are now being cared for by local shelters and rescues. Authorities say the woman may face multiple charges related to animal cruelty and unsafe living conditions.
Investigators are still trying to determine how long the animals were kept in such conditions and whether anyone else was involved. The community has rallied in support of the rescued dogs, with donations pouring in to help with food, shelter, and medical care.
